The 1-3 Challenge

The 1-3 challenge is our accountability for staying in God's word. We say we love God but how often do we read his Word? And even then, many times when we read it, we are left dry and empty. Let's change that. Does the Bible instruct us to read God's word??? No, actually it doesn't. It does, however, instruct us to study, meditate, and memorize it. Lets listen to God.
The 1-3 challenge takes a maximum of 5-10 minutes. It is reading ONE chapter a day of a selected book and coming up with THREE applications. That's it.
This challenge is the least we could do.

An example of the three applications...

From 1 Timothy chapter 4

1. V. 1-2 Watch out for liars. In the name of religion, many are deceived. Jesus not being God is one of the main problems several religions have. If Jesus was just a man he couldn't die for our sins. We cannot compromise.

2. On the same note... at the beginning of the chapter, legalism is of the devil. Let's not fall in his traps. Grace is of God

3. V. 8 Being an athlete, that hits home for me. Training the body for strength is good. But training my life for godliness brings way better results. No protein needed, just the Word

So here is how it will work. I will post the book and chapter for the day. In the comments is where everyone will post their three applications.

  1. 1. V. 12 we suffer we shall also reign with him if we deny him he will also deny us
    2. Basically if we are willing to suffer for Christ we will be with Him in Heaven one day. But if we don'tand we deny him, he'll do the same
    3. V. 22 don't give into temptation! Flee from it and go to God. Rely on faith not flesh
