Ugh!!! Same thing again!!! Page crashed while I was on my third verse!!! Guess God's teaching me patience lol. Here's another summary. V5 God has no secret agenda or alter ego or whatever. He is exactly who he says he is, and he means exactly what he says. V6 Being godly is not a part time thing. We have to strive for it every day, not just Sundays. V10 If we say we haven't sinned, that means God's a liar. But God can't lie. So you have sinned. This is all over the bible. Everyone has sinned. No-one is perfect.
I had the same prob. with the computer, so I started typing mine on a word document/email draft that saves it automatically. That way if the internet or comp. goes crazy It will still be saved and then i just copy and paste it on here.
1 john 1 1. V. 4 I'm liking it. This letter was written so that the recipients joy would be full. So this is one of the main reasons of the letter. As fellow believers we can also apply this to our lives. I'm going to be questioning what John wrote and how it can make my joy complete! Praying God will allow me to see clearly. 2. V. 7 this is not the same exact concept as presented in James but it goes hand and hand and reminds me of it. If we have fellowship with God, we can't have fellowship with the world. Our lost friends will not be more enjoyable to be around then our brothers and sister in Christ bc there will be no fellowship. 3. V. 9 God is faithful even we are at our worst. Crazy how we act like God owes us something when we really owe God everything
1. v9 We shouldn't try to explain away or make excuses for our sin. Own up to what you did and see the sin like God does. Thank God, he will always be faithful to forgive. His grace never runs out, despite our continual sin. 2. v 8 & 10 Besides Christ, sinless people don't exist. To say your sinless is in itself a sin. 3. v 5-7 Don't say your in the light, while your walk in the darkness. You can't straddle the fence. You love God(light) or the world(darkness). We say we love God, but do our actions confirm that?
V5: God is light and in Him is no darkness. God cannot lie. God cannot let you down. He cannot go back on a single one of his many promises. Comforting!
V8: Better to be honest with ourselves and others. We sin and that is why we so desperately need a Saviour.
V9: A favorite of every Christian I know! Thankful that God doesn't get tired of us coming to him over and over again to confess. He is faithful. Aren't you glad that we can go straight to God, that we don't have to go through anyone else?
