  1. Colossians 4
    1. V. Continue in prayer. One thing to continually pray for is am opportunity to share Christ with someone. Paul wanted the believers to pray that he would have opportunities while he was in prison. As people who are not bound to one place, we should seek even more for opportunities.
    2. V. 6 Not just what we say but how we speak is very effective. Let's speak in a way that would point others to Christ.
    3. V. 17 "take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in The Lord, that thou Fulfill it." God has also given us each a ministry...let's be zealous towards that ministry. Seek to invest in his kingdom

  2. 1. V 3 Do I pray for open doors? Am i willing to step out of my comfort zone and be used by God?
    2. V 5 Not only should we pray for open doors, but we should walked through them when they come. Live as a light, be a witness, and make the most of each day for the gospel.
    3. V 6 Do the things I say set me apart from the world? Do they revealed a changed life? Do they offer the hope of salvation? Do they point to Christ?

  3. V5: Walking in wisdom towards those who are not believers. This is tricky. Every move you make is criticized. You are forever expected to be kind and in a good mood no matter what is done to you or what is said against you. It takes plenty of wisdom to maintain a testimony in front of the lost.

V5: Redeeming the time. In light of the fact that those we are with day in and day out that do not know Christ are running out of time!

V6: My mentor has speech that is seasoned with salt. She can say something painfully truthful in a very respectful way that doesn't beat you down. I look up to her for this and want to develop this very rough edge in my own life.
